Welcome …

Behind every brand, behind every company, there are people who can only create such a great project together. The impulse and the idea for which mährle stands comes from the founder Dagmar Fresenius. From the beginning it was important to her to build a suitable mährle team at her side. People who think alike, who understand her and even live her business!? That was her wish. And lo and behold, one year after the foundation we can say: Valuable people have found each other and mährle now also accompanies their life and work with full passion. Reason enough to offer them a very personal stage here.

Dagmar

With a passion for handicrafts and a love of nature, Dagmar Fresenius launched the mährle 2020 project. When Dagmar became aware of the practices that were the order of the day in the wool industry, she banished her entire collection of yarns to the attic and began to tinker with alternatives. “There must be a better way, with a good conscience towards animals, people and nature …!”. Today, mährle shows us: Yes, it can be done.

Dagmar

Our heroes

Despite the rough sea breeze and the typical Nordic weather, John Petersen and his sheep keep the flora and fauna of the North Sea island of Föhr alive. With his “seed cabs” and North Frisian temperament, he makes species conservation possible in the long term and sustainably. With his island sheep line, the mährle project has really taken off and found the perfect supporter in John.

Dieter Hertler is the seventh generation to take on the legacy of the itinerant shepherd and has been grazing the Swabian Alb with his flock ever since. He knows the area better than the back of his hand and takes every opportunity to pass on his experience to the next generation of shepherds. Every stone and every branch has its very own story.

Between tradition and innovation – Knut Kucznik grazes the Brandenburg countryside with traditional guiding principles and modern, innovative ideas. Thanks to him, it is not impossible to come across a water buffalo in the Berlin area. His motivation is to constantly optimize processes and to support the local biodiversity as effectively and gently as possible. Our guardian of the capital’s sheep.

Elmar

What began as a wedding gift became a life’s work. With his herd, Elmar Spies grazes the Rhön nature reserve and carries out gentle landscape management by preventing scrub encroachment on the calcareous meadows. In doing so, he is completely at one with nature; not only in good weather, which is either all the time or not at all. Our shepherd “with heart” as he also titles his sheep farm, of the mährle Rhön sheep.

Our creatives

Steffi Elsner lives with her husband and son between the Black Forest and Lake Constance. With her agency graphik-pool she has more than 15 years of experience in the design industry and attaches great importance to a very personal customer service. So the extraordinary project “mährle” is not only on her desk, but also in her heart. She is closely connected to nature and shows a lot of passion for good design. From person to person she travels with her “mobile agency” and family to our shepherds to collect authentic footage and emotional stories for mährle. Back at the agency, the team at her side is looking forward to preparing the content for you and giving the brand “mährle” a face.

Mia

Between longing and wanderlust, Mia Bühler creates digital dreams and takes care of mährle’s appearance on the popular social media channels. Always with husband and child in tow, she discovers the world with her blog uberding and shows it to her readers from new perspectives. At home in Stuttgart, she complements our creative work with her social media agency creading. Steffi and Mia are sisters and therefore a wonderful connection between print and web. So now a “mährle workday” becomes valuable family time at the same time, which both sons are especially happy about.
